Dear Families,
The Charles G. Taylor School is one of three neighborhood schools in Foxborough. Taylor School serves approximately 280 children from kindergarten through fourth grade. Our goal is to provide students with safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms every day.
Taylor School has a strong curricular program with high standards in support of students’ academic and social-emotional growth. In addition to language arts, social studies, math and science, children have classes in Spanish, wellness, music, and visual arts. Learning across all grade levels and subject areas is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Our talented, experienced teaching staff is committed to providing our students with an excellent education. We strive to create joyful and engaging learning environments that respect and accommodate each child’s individual learning style. Reading and math specialists, special educators, counselors, occupational therapists, and speech therapists work directly with classroom teachers to help meet the learning needs of all our students.
Families play a vital role in the life of our school. Thanks to the tremendous ongoing support of our PTO, we have been able to upgrade playgrounds, provide field trips, and fund cultural programs to enhance students’ educational experiences. In addition, the PTO organizes family events such as the Popsicles on the Playground and our annual Family Picnic.
We proudly participate in a variety of community relationships including the Council on Aging Volunteer Program and musical visits from the Serenading Seniors. Foxborough police officers and firefighters teach special lessons on health and safety topics. In addition, the children contribute to the town of Foxborough through events that support the Discretionary Fund and other charitable organizations.
We are excited for a safe, joyful, and rewarding school year!
Sincerely,
Michael Stanton
Principal
